Customer Spotlight: Victoria Burrow

Victoria Burrow is a new-concept entertainment complex located in downtown Victoria. The Burrow offers a wide variety of activities and food and drink options under a 28,000 square-foot roof, and it’s an operation that owner Tom Wartman views as unique in the Twin Cities area.

“I’d like to think the Burrow offers such variety under one roof—great food, two full bars with 28 beers on tap, and activities—that there is something for everyone,” said Wartman. “I know that but for the relationship with our banker, David Krause at Minnesota Lakes Bank, and his willingness to listen to our needs, we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to move this project forward.

“Community banking is about relationships,” added Krause. “I had worked with Tom in the past, and so I was excited to see how Minnesota Lakes Bank could help Tom with this project. We worked together to develop a creative solution, and the bank was able to assist a new business and create growth in the area.”

Situated on Arboretum Boulevard, Victoria Burrow offers axe throwing, 18 holes of miniature golf, bocce ball, darts, virtual reality pods and a classic arcade game room. And that’s just for adults. The business just opened the Fox Den Arcade for children of all ages, a 2,000-square foot space for kids’ games and prizes they earn from playing the games. They also have live music on weekends with no cover charge.

The food offerings are varied, too: four food stations await guests. The first is a wood-stone fired pizza oven which allows customers to either build their own from one of several artisan crusts or to choose from 12 proven favorites. The second station offers smoked ribs, smoked meats and the famous Gold Nugget burger with all the fixings. “The Gold Nugget burger is renowned in this area, and we’re pleased to have this item on our menu,” said Tom.

A third station offers street food: tacos, grilled cheese, sandwiches and salads; food you can grab and take with you to your favorite activity.

And what meal isn’t complete without dessert? The fourth station offers dessert and features La La ice cream, a homemade, local ice cream that uses the highest-quality ingredients which are locally sourced when possible.

“Very few entertainment venues offer the mix of activities, food and beverages we provide,” Tom added. “We really see Victoria Burrow as a destination. Our private event party room offers space for corporate and family events and holiday parties. We’re excited about the reception from our customers, and I truly appreciate the responsiveness of David Krause and Minnesota Lakes Bank to help make Victoria Burrow happen.”
