This calculator will help you to determine how much money you need to invest on a monthly basis now, in order to be able to pay for your child’s college education by the time they are ready to start college. You can either enter your own current estimated annual college cost, or select a degree type and the calculator will enter the cost for you based on a recent survey conducted by the The College Board. Plus, the calculator even adjusts the future cost of attending college based on your own estimated rate of inflation.

Projected Total Four-Year Costs of Attending College: Costs are based on The College Board’s Annual Survey of Colleges for the 2011-2012 school year and include tuition and fees, room and board, transportation, books, and other expenses. The costs are enrollment-weighted and inflated based upon your selected estimated annual rate of inflation. The calculator assumes no additional investments or earnings once the child starts school.

Launch College Funding Calculator

Use this calculator to compute how much you would need to have invested in order to withdraw a specified amount each month over the course of a specified period of time. For example, if you want to be able to withdraw $500 during each month of your expected 20-year retirement, this calculator will tell you that if you expect to earn a 10% interest rate you will need to have $51,812.30 saved up by the time you retire. This is often referred to as “Present Value of an Annuity” analysis.

Retirement Savings Calculator

Use this calculator to figure how much your current savings will grow and how much more you’ll need to save each month in order to achieve a given savings goal within a given number of years.

Since cash inflows and outflows vary in amounts and intervals it can often get quite confusing in trying to figure how much we can afford to spend or save during any given month. Just because you have left over cash this month doesn’t mean it’s actually available for spending.

This calculator was designed to convert all inflows and outflows into their monthly equivalents making it easier to see how much you can really afford to spend during any given month. And because your household is just as much a business as any traditional business, the various sections of the calculator have been set up in the same way most businesses would set up their cash flow worksheet.

Mortgage Qualification Calculator

Not only will this calculator calculate the monthly payment and net interest savings, but it will also calculate how many months it will take to break even on the closing costs.

Mortgage Refinancing Calculator

This calculator will help you to compare the costs of renting to the costs of buying a home. Since there are all kinds of forces at work behind the scenes (interest, property taxes, tax savings, appreciation, opportunity costs, closing costs, selling costs, etc.), comparing the cost of renting to the cost of buying is a lot more complicated than just comparing the monthly mortgage payment to the monthly rent payment. This calculator attempts to forecast the net effects of all the hidden forces so you can make an informed decision.

Rent vs. Buy Calculator
